Doorstop - sizes
Hi,

Does anybody know what are the buildings regs - relating to doorstops for an internal doorset, if its to achieve fire-rating of FD30.

If not is there a website address?

Thanks

http://www.firesafe.org.uk/html/fsequip/firedoor.htm

Is quite a good page to 'bone-up' on Plus…

Nominal Frame Size: 38 x 115mm , Suitable for FD30 single leaf, single action latched doors and suitable for both 762mm and 838mm door widths, Pre-routed to accept Intumescent Strips, BWF Certifire scheme approved Cert No. CAF184

14.5 x 32mm door stop, FSC certified, I always glue and screw the doorstops if not a rebated frame.

I'm away to Italy later today so no doubt there will be a few answers to your question, but hope this is of help.

RE: Doorstop - sizes
Is this a retrofit, or new installation?

If the former, the original frames themselves may not suffice.

This is going to read like a really spammy post but thanks for that link to the firesafe site. Really interesting - although I can't help but feel its going to take a while to remember all of it!
