Breach of JCT contract
Hi,
My company is in a JCT contract for some works with a builder on a hotel installation. The said company now owes us money from a previous job, if we cease to work on the latest contract because of the owed money, are we in breach of contract?
Many Thanks
Gary

RE: Breach of JCT contract
100% No doubt. There is a list of Specified Suspension Events in the contract and there is nothing allowing suspension to off-set a breach of a separate contract.

Why don't you make a claim under the other contract?
